We have a lawful obligation to hold and process your personal details.  This is legitimate for our work, and although this is a legal obligation, we will inform you of:

Types of Data Collected


While using our service, we may ask you to provide us with personal and identifiable information that can be used to contact you. 

Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

.Address

.Telephone Number

.Email


We may use Personal Data solely to contact you by email, telephone calls or SMS, after you have provided us with this information. 


We will contact you via your preferred method of communication.


We will not share your data.


We will also ask clients for additional information:

.Emergency Contact Name

.Emergency Contact Number.

.GP and their contact details 


We will only use this information when completely necessary and will discuss this with you.


How will we use and store your data


We take notes of our sessions, outlining what you would like from therapy and the work we have done within our sessions.  This is to ensure that we can continue to work in a safe and ethical way. 

These are stored on private computers, that are password and fingerprint protected. Notes are non identifiable and are kept separate from any personal data. Any handwritten notes are coded and filed away in a locked filing cabinet in our office.


The security of your Personal Data is very important to us, however it is important to remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee it's absolute security.


Circumstances where your data may be shared


We will not sell or use your information for unethical purposes, however, there are certain circumstances that mean we are obligated to share your information. These being:

  • By a court of law
  • When we are expected by law/our professional association, to break confidentiality where there is a risk of harm to you as a client, or to the safety of others.
  • If children or vulnerable adults are involved and at risk. In such a situation, we would contact the relevant services necessary.
  • Where we are required to comply with Safeguarding Legislation, Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection, Traffic, Money Laundering, Terrorism Legislation and other points of Law.


How you can access your data


If you would like any information that we have about you, you may request it. We ask that you do this in writing. We are legally bound to give you a copy free of charge, within one month of your request. You can ask us to stop using your information at any time if you so wish.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.


Changes to Privacy Policy


We may update our Privacy Policy, from time to time. We will let you know if/when we do this via this Privacy Policy page.  We will update the most recent date at top of the page.
